The East Lothian Swim Team is made up of swimmers from Musselburgh, Tranent and Haddington Swimming Clubs. The swimmers train at different pools within East Lothian and the University of Edinburghpool at St. Leonards. Swimmers joining East Lothian Swim Team (ELST)remain members of their own clubs and still compete in East District Competitions and Team events for these clubs. Swimmers compete for East Lothian at Scottish National and British level, as well as other competitions outwith the district.
In our training programme we to provide a planned development of technique and fitness training that will equip our swimmers to achieve success at East District, Scottish National and British level. We try to avoid training too much at an early age as we believe that it could be detrimental to a swimmers continuous progression.
